Assignment: Write an opinion piece for a specific publication, from an organization and by a person in authority. The goal is to establish a POV and demonstrate a handle on the topic.

Approach: Researched the reality that young, predominantly white, males switched in large numbers to supporting Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election. In depth analysis of current party demographics and sentiment, as well as conducted field research, posing this issue to my peers.

Result: Illustrated the ways that Donald Trump excelled in galvanizing this demographic, and the shortcomings within the Democratic party that made this shift even easier. Defined opposing points of view and gave counterarguments, included powerful imagery found online. Maintained a strong, apparent sense of voice and point of view, and learned how to write in a persuasive, opinionated manner
